Activities

Guided Bush Walks

Only 8kms from the Kruger National Park’s Phalaborwa Gate, we can assist you in arranging guided bush walks in the park with a SANParks ranger.

Each walk is approximately 3 hours long and allows you to see the Kruger from a different perspective. You’ll truly get to appreciate the insects, birdlife and flora in the park on a walk, as well as learn about the smaller, more unique elements of the park. Be advised, you could possibly come across the Big 5 on this walk, but it’s not necessarily the focus of it.

Day Tours

There are a number of attractions in and around Phalaborwa that are definitely worth a visit. These include the Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre, which is just over an hour from the lodge; Qualito Craft Distillery, located in Phalaborwa and the Olifants River Sunset Cruise.

We’d be happy to help you arrange these day tours. Please enquire with our team at the lodge.

Bird Watching

If you’re looking for an activity a little closer to the lodge, why not opt for your own birding safari? The lodge’s location is perfect for scouting out some of South Africa’s most well-known birds, like the fork-tailed drongo, red-billed hornbills, Cape turtle doves, the grey go-away bird and the Natal francolin, to name a few.

It’s also a great way to explore the area around the lodge and spend some time learning more about these incredibly-beautiful and unique birds.

Swimming Pool

Sometimes, there’s nothing better than a day spent by the pool. South Africa receives a generous amount of sunshine so take advantage of it, pull up a chair and relax by the lodge’s stunning swimming pool.
